Worship, fellowship and support for Russian-speaking people in Australia. Come as home - we're expecting you this Sunday at 9:30 am.
Moving to another country is never easy. A new language, a new culture, sometimes - the feeling of starting over from zero.
We know this ourselves. Many of us once arrived in Australia for the first time too, looking for a place to speak our native language, pray together, and simply feel at home.
Here you will find fellowship, support, and a spiritual family.
No formality - just come. We'd love to see you.
At the entrance you'll be greeted - someone will ask your name and introduce you to the people nearby.
The service lasts about an hour and a half: congregational singing, preaching from God's Word, prayer, and sometimes testimonies from church members. Kids go to Sunday School.
After the service - tea, coffee, and fellowship. Don't rush off - this is an important part of getting to know each other. Dress code is casual, come as you are.
Feel the atmosphere of our church online before visiting in person. We livestream and publish every service on YouTube.
It doesn't matter how long you've been in Australia or what your experience of faith is. We welcome everyone.

We are the Brisbane Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church, an evangelical Baptist church in the Meadowbrook area, founded by Russian-speaking Christians in Brisbane in 1932. Our faith is grounded in Holy Scripture.
We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through personal faith in Jesus Christ. Not works, not rituals, not heritage - but living faith and a relationship with God.
Our community is made up of families who came from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan and other former Soviet countries. We are united by a common language, a shared faith, and a desire to support one another here in Australia.
"The doors of our church are open to everyone seeking God, support, or simply fellowship in their native language. Come — we're expecting you this Sunday."

Alongside the service, we run a Sunday School for children of different ages. The program is in Russian: Bible lessons, songs, crafts and games, and fellowship with peers from other Russian-speaking families.
This matters especially for children growing up in Australia - here they hear their native language, learn their parents' faith, and find friends who understand their culture.
